While in Knysna you checked out a few places around the area and maybe you drove down to the Storms River Gorge? You should have stopped at Bloukrans Bridge, for an adrenalin Bungy jump from Africa’s largest and world’s highest (216 metres) commercial bridge on the N2 highway on the border between the Western and Eastern cape borders in the Tsitsikamma area of South Africa’s Garden Route. With the Bloukrans River valley below the bungy jump run by Face Adrenalin is defiantly the one, been there and done it, so I can brag about it to my family and friends for the rest of my life experience.
So you wandered out of your comfort zone and your feet need solid ground, the Tsitsikamma National Park have a few hidden gems to enjoy with Storms River Adventures.

Where you get to ride in a modern ox wagon (A truck with open sides and seats and canopy) down the old Thomas Bain Storms river pass that was built by convicts and completed in 1884 (some of the graves can still be found). The pass originally made for horse drawn buggy’s and ox wagons to travel, allowed traffic up one day and down the next to the top of the plateau 150 meters above the Storms River Gorge, where the Storms River village started. (the story of the storms river village) The Woodcutters Journey in the truck have knowledgeable guides that inform about the history and nature of the area. It take about 2-3hours with either lunch or tea trips available.

We all want to fly above the trees and see what birds see! For 2-3 hours above the magnificent Tsitsikamma indigenous rainforest, you get to travel along steel cables from platform to platform located in giant Outeniqua Yellowwood trees 30 meters above the forest floor.
