Rugby Championship – 4 Nations, 6 Rounds

Its back! The Rugby championship with Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Starting on the 16th August, The first match of 12 – Argentina vs South Africa. At Loftus Versfeld, Kick off at 17:05

Will Handré Pollard start this Saturday for the Springboks? A lot has been asked of this youngster in his first season of senior rugby, but he has risen to the challenge on each and every occasion. Indeed, it was on his Test debut against Scotland this past June where Pollard made the biggest statement of all. Maybe Morné Steyn, the more experienced and accomplished fly half, will have a key role to play in the clashes against Australia and New Zealand where line and goal-kicking will be paramount.

Jean de Villiers will be running at 12, and taking back the captaincy. Uncapped Damian de Allende will take place next to Jean. What about the Springboks other small problem? The locks? No Victor Matfield and Lood de Jager appears to be the favourite to start at this stage, although Eben Etzebeth could also get some game time in what is an unfamiliar position. Bakkies Botha is set to return after missing the match against Scotland. Which pairing will work?

Are the betting odds on New Zealand to win the series? Australia 2nd, South Africa 3rd, Argentina 4th?
