Route 62

In the Western Cape there’s the wine route and then there is the longest wine route, which we all need to go on. Route 62 covers the Klein Karoo, Robertson, Tulbagh and Wellington with more than 70 wine farms (11 specialist Brandy cellars) for more than a week’s’ worth of wine farms to stop at and taste as well as enjoy breakfast, lunch and supper. All this comes with the ever changing mountains, scenic passes and rivers. The small accessible towns can be found in the valleys for discovering hiking trails, walks, horse riding outings or even a swim in one of the regions hot springs resorts (Avalon springs- Montagu, Caledon spa – Caledon, The baths – Citrusdal, Warmwaterberg spa – Route 62,Calitzdorp spa – Klein Karoo)

In June every year, Robertson and surrounds has the Wacky Wine Festival that won the Klink Award in 2014 for the Best Wine Route Event – Crowd Pleaser. So this year from the 4-7 June 2015 it happens all again for you to master wine tastings, stock up on wine, discovery new foods and meet a whole lot of new people.
