Time again for the Cape Town Carnival, this is the 5th annual event for Cape Town’s biggest free street party. The Green Point Fan walk on Saturday the 14th March 2015 will light up with a glamorous celebration of colourful giant floats, huge puppets and amazing speciality acts all decorated and choreographed to embody the elemental theme of Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
Visitors will be able to roam the city streets from 16h00 and mix with the people of Cape Town on the Green Point fan walk. With a variety of food, crafts and children activities on offer. The street will then be closed off from 18h00 for the carnival patrons to find a place to view the Carnival procession that starts the magic at 19h00. The 2000+ costumed performers and musicians will entertain you with colourful and vibrant dance routines around the moving floats for about 2 hours and then an awesome open air after party will start, so don’t think of going home early.
