Social responsibility is a duty every individual has to perform
Our social responsibility is our duty. “Concern for man and his fate must always form the chief interest of all technical endeavors. Never forget this in the midst of your diagrams and equations.” ~ Albert Einstein
Cabs recognise and embrace the need to lend a helping hand to our community.
The South African youth are the future of this amazing country. CABS cares by contributing to the generation of the future.
Girls and Boys Town receives a monthly donation from Cabs which is used to contribute to toward the well-being and future of their children.
We also contribute to the following organisations as part of our Social Responsibility:
Sea Rescue, National Sea Rescue Institute of South Africa
The Gift Bearers Association
Community Provision and Social Services
The Flame Lily Foundation
CABS Staff (Cape Town) also showed their support and reached deep into their pockets by contributing R440 to the Blisters for Bread initiative, by holding Cake sales by staff.
All funds raised are directed to the school feeding programme so that more learners can be fed PSFA. 3 out of 4 children in the Western Cape go to school hungry every day.
Every year for the past 43 years, the Peninsula School Feeding Association have a big walk, in which school learners, staff, their families and the community are invited to participate. Last year, Blisters for Bread attracted a whopping 15,400 walkers. Over R700 000 was raised (more than £50 000).
